Benjamin and April first crossed paths in the summer of 2021 after one of Ben’s performances at Whiskey River Bar and Grille in Glenview, IL. He offered to buy April a drink, but she politely declined—it was late, and she had to head home. Fate, however, had other plans. In October of that year, they met again after another show, sharing a brief conversation about music and April’s love for the bassoon. Some even say Ben fell in love that night. A few months later, in December 2021, he took a leap of faith and sent April a Facebook friend request. She gladly accepted, marking the beginning of a beautiful friendship. By January 2022, as if by destiny, April moved into the same neighborhood as Ben. They spent their days deep in conversation, going on long walks, sharing their favorite songs, and searching for the best chicken sandwich at local breweries. Though they never officially called themselves a couple, their frequent outings and undeniable chemistry made it clear to everyone around them. Then, in mid-2022, April fell sick with COVID. Ben made sure to keep her spirits high, checking in on her throughout the day and sending "nerdy videos" about music theory. That was when they discovered they shared the same favorite mode and time signature—just another sign that they were meant to be. Ben's care and attention showed not only his love for April but also his unwavering desire to keep her happy and well. Through every version of themselves, they continued to grow and support one another. Of course, Ben wasn't the only one who adored spending time with April—Nash quickly grew just as fond of her. He would often ask, "Does April have plans?" or "Can April come over?" And April was always happy to say yes. She became a regular at birthday parties, sports games, Red Robin dinners, and playdates with close friends. Those moments together became some of their most cherished memories. In April 2024, April officially moved in with Ben and Nash. The transition was so seamless it felt like it was always meant to be. They’ve since started a few family traditions, including baking cookies before their Christmas family trip and Friday night game nights. As their little family continues to grow and evolve, this is just the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in their lives.

Shuttle Information

Shuttle service will be available from the Hotel to the venue at 4 pm. The shuttle will be available throughout the evening, with service ending at 1 am.

Will the ceremony/reception be inside or outside?

Our ceremony is scheduled to be outside, weather permitting. The reception will be mostly inside with additional outside seating areas. It would be a good idea to plan your attire accordingly.
